The annual Students Actuarial Society (SAS) Conference took place on 11th February 2015 where experts from industry explored the differences between the modern actuary and the traditional actuary. Experts from Moody's Analytics, Risk Management Solutions, Leading Figures, Royal Bank of Scotland and Accenture examined how the field has developed over the years, what changes have been made and what the current issues are being faced.
You can view the presenters' slides as well as an audio recording of the event online. SAS is a registered Union society, created by students undertaking the Actuarial Science degree, for students across the whole university who are interested in a career as an actuary. With a membership of over 300 students, it is one of the largest societies dedicated to actuarial studies in the UK.
