Robert Gordon's College Pupils Visit MACS

On Wednesday 15th June 2016, Dr Lilia Georgieva and colleagues from the Department of Computer Science at Heriot-Watt University were delighted to welcome a group of visiting pupils, aged 12-14, from Robert Gordon's College in Aberdeen. The pupils are visiting a number of Scottish universities to get a taste of university life.

The pupils learned about the power of supercomputers, how to find and follow your passion, how to make good career choices, what studying computer science involves, how to build your own app and how to be an entrepreneur.

A particular highlight of the visit for Dr Georgieva was when a pupil told her that Heriot-Watt is the best university he has visited and that he will remember the day he visited it when he is a Professor.
