Dr Mike Just, Associate Professor of Computer Science, was in Ottawa, Canada this month attending, organising tutorials and acting as workshop chair for the 11th Symposium on Usable Security and Privacy (SOUPS).
With almost 200 attendees and 22 papers presented it was a very successful year. Mike co-chaired the first Workshop on Inclusive Privacy and Security (WIPS). The aim of the workshop, which attracted 30 attendees, was to bring together people interested in building privacy and security solutions that are inclusive for people with disabilities and situational impairments.
Mike was also invited to appear on 580 CFRA radio to talk about internet security, what people can do to protect themselves online, and the research they have been doing to help improve the security of mobile phones.
