The winners of the Postgraduate Research Student poster event held in April have been presented with their prizes. Head of School Professor Beatrice Pelloni was delighted to meet the winning students to hand over their certificates and gift vouchers this morning. The event, held twice a year, offers PhD students a chance to gather, exchange ideas and build up networks with researchers in our School whilst showcasing some of their research ideas via posters.

Nadia Taou, supervised by Dr Michael Lones and Professor David Corne, won 1st place with her poster "Towards intelligent biological control: Controlling Boolean networks with Boolean networks"

2nd place was awarded jointly to Timothy Simmons with his poster "Mathematical Analysis of Models for Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems (MEMS)" and Eshrag Refaee with her poster "Benchmarking Machine Translated Sentiment Analysis for Arabic Tweets".
