Signal and Image Processing

The Signal and Image Processing Laboratory (SIPLab) at Heriot-Watt specializes in the design of advanced data science techniques with applications ranging from robotics to imaging or communication, in a large variety of fields including defence, astronomy, art investigation, or medicine.

The group is composed of circa 10 academics and is led by Prof. Yves Wiaux. Our research has been funded by prestigious grants from EPSRC, EPSRC-DSTL, Royal Academy of Engineering, and the European Union.
