I decided to study Architectural Engineering because from a young age I have always had a fascination with buildings, and how they are designed and built. It seemed the ideal degree to pursue this passion, and hopefully build it into a career. I visited Heriot-Watt on an Open Day, and from then on, it became my first choice. It was a gut feeling I guess. Now I have graduated, this degree has made so many options available to me, including moving abroad to work for a few years.

It is not an easy programme to take on but the challenges within it are very stimulating and it is also a lot of fun which makes it even better. The best thing for me at Heriot Watt was that any time I needed some help, I could count on the people around me, from my tutors to my fellow students.
