Here at the School of Energy, Geoscience, Infrastructure and Society we have a number of well established links with China. We have several partnerships with Chinese institutions for both our teaching and our research. Some of our specific research themes relate directly to Chinese interests including the Housing and Urbanisation in China & Asia research theme.
The School benefits from the expertise of several academic members of staff from China including Professor Ming Sun, Dr Fan Wang, Dr Zhen Chen and Professor Zhixian Cao who all contribute to the teaching programmes of the School as well as the world class research that is carried out within our three research Institutes. We have a vibrant community of Chinese students on a wide range of programmes across our undergraduate and postgraduate taught degrees as well as those studying a PhD.
The School has translated some key materials relating to seven of our MSc/PG Diploma programmes which are available to download on the right hand side of this webpage.
We also have a webpage dedicated to Chinese students thinking of coming to study here: Information for Chinese students. On this webpage you can view our Chinese prospectus and also get advice about applying for Visas and moving to the UK.
Heriot-Watt offers a safe, relaxing campus environment to study which is just a few miles away from the beautiful historic city of Edinburgh. We have a very diverse international feel to our student body and hope that you consider applying to study with us. For any more information about coming to Scotland to study please contact Zhongyi Wang, whose details are on the right hand side of this webpage.
