Profile

Why did you choose to study online at Heriot-Watt University?

I chose Heriot-Watt’s online MBA because it offers flexible, self-paced study that fits around work, has a strong international reputation, provides well-structured learning materials, and is more affordable than many other MBA programmes.

Overall, how has your experience been with Heriot-Watt?

Overall, my experience has been very positive. The online format is flexible and works well alongside my other commitments.

What was your favourite part of the MBA?

My favourite part of the programme is the online revision sessions with the instructors, because they allow live discussion with classmates and help me develop a deeper understanding of each topic.

How have you found the learning materials?

The learning material is very good, with clear explanations, relevant and recent examples, and access to past exam questions that help with revision.

How has your programme impacted your career and personal life so far?

The programme has had a strong impact on both my personal life and my career. Personally, it has required good time management and discipline to balance study with work and family commitments. Professionally, what I learned about organisational behaviour, teamwork, leadership and managing change has been directly useful in my current role and is relevant across many fields of work.

What was your favourite course and why?

My favourite course was Developing and Executing Strategy, because it gave an end-to-end understanding of how different business topics connect and require strategic thinking. It pushed me to think out of the box and use data and research to design strategies and plan how to execute them effectively.
