- Student Union, Edinburgh Campus
Candace Albornoz and Nicole Alexander will be offering Massage, Guided Meditation and Reiki sessions during lunch hours to Edinburgh Campus staff and students.
The sessions will be offered twice a week on a drop-in or pre-booked basis on Wednesday and Friday 12:30–13:30
Candace is a certified practitioner of massage. She offers a neck, shoulder and upper back massage where the person would sit fully clothed at a table top head cradle and receive a 15-minute massage on these areas. Massage of the neck, shoulder and upper back has been shown to decrease stress and aid in general relaxation and wellbeing.
Meditation and Reiki
Nicole is a certified Level 3 Reiki Practitioner and an experienced meditation mentor. She has taught beginner to advanced meditation courses with a focus on guided meditations for relaxation, mindfulness, and increased energy. Nicole has been an active Reiki Practitioner since 2014, having run her own Reiki studio. Reiki is a well-known alternative energy healing therapy done by placing the hands in a series of positions over or on the body. The client remains fully clothed. Reiki promotes healing by activating the relaxation response and helping the body to balance itself. Please bring a pillow or yoga mat.
Guided meditation by Nicole will take place from 12:30–12:45, then 15-minute Reiki sessions for the remaining 45 minutes.
Meditations session: £3.00.
Massage or Reiki: £10 per 15-minute session.
Payment will be cash on the day.
