This is a national dispute concerning changes to the pension scheme and pay. The University remains committed to maintaining the highest academic standards during this period whilst minimising the impact on students.

It has been confirmed that the Scheduled Industrial Action Days at Heriot-Watt University will take place on:

Week 6            Thursday 20 – Friday 21 February

Week 7            Monday 24 – Wednesday 26 February

Week 8            Monday 2 – Thursday 5 March

Week 9            Monday 9 – Friday 13 March

Not all staff will be involved in the planned action and the affect on students is likely to vary across different courses.

Contingency plans will be put in place and further information and further information has been made available for all staff and students.

If you are a student and have a question you should speak to your academic tutor in the first instance. Similarly, if you are a member of staff you should speak to your line manager.
