Heriot-Watt Strengthens Position in QS University Rankings

Heriot-Watt University has continued its streak of strong performance in our engineering and tech-based subjects in the QS University rankings, with four ranking in the top 200, and further improvements in other subject groups.

The QS World University Ranking by Subject 2020 was published this morning, (Wednesday 4 March), and ranks higher education institutions from all over the world across 48 subjects. 

Heriot-Watt University achieved an impressive listing of top 200 in Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering. This places Heriot-Watt ahead of other Scottish institutions.

The University was ranked in 13 subjects and three subject groups overall, with improvements made in Chemistry, Environmental Science and Accounting & Finance – the latter two of which were unranked last year.
