Sustainable Lab Award

Transition Heriot-Watt is pleased to announce the creation of the first Sustainable Lab Awards at Heriot-Watt University.

The Sustainable Lab Awards have been created in order to show recognition for the great efforts already undertaken to improve lab and workshop sustainability.

Through working with colleagues and students through the Sustainable Labs project, we are aware that lab users already take steps to help improve resource efficiency, and these awards look to recognise such efforts and inspire others to take action.

Nominations for the awards are open until 5pm on Wednesday 21 March. We would like to hear from individuals or groups who have integrated sustainability into their lab practices or workshop procedures. It is also possible to nominate others who you feel have undertaken these actions.

Details on how to take part are available on our website.

We invite all colleagues and students who use labs to reflect on their lab work and to get in touch if they have helped their lab become more sustainable.
