Masterclass for young entrepreneurs launched in Malaysia

A masterclass for business-minded young people was launched in Malaysia, last week.

Heriot-Watt University Malaysia's Entrepreneurship Club and the School of Social Sciences - organised the event - which attracted students from Business, Psychology, Engineering as well as Actuarial Sciences.

Three guest speakers, including Alan Cheah; Chief Executive Officer at GoCar Mobility, Ken Lau; CEO and Founder of Adventoro.com and Sadira Yeong Min Yi, pharmacy student and co-founder of Readpublic - all shared their experiences.

The Young Entrepreneur Master Class is one of the activities initiated under the Entrepreneurship Development Programme (EDP) which was launched in January 2018.

It is a year-long programme, aiming to aspire students to be entrepreneurs. 

Zulaikha Binti Zainul Rizam, a second year Psychology with Management student shared her insight as one of the participants during the workshop, she said: " really liked the speakers. What they have shared is relevant to us as  young entrepreneurs in the making.

"Overall, the master class was a good opportunity for us to gain perception and knowledge from the speakers. It made me reflect and think about what I can do further as a student who is in pursuit of expanding my business ideas.”
