A memorandum of understanding was signed between Heriot-Watt University with Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) The MoU was signed by Professor Richard Williams, Principal and Vice Chancellor of Heriot-Watt University and Professor Emeritus Dato' Dr Hassan Said, Vice Chancellor of UiTM. The ceremony was attended by the top management of both universities including Professor Mushtak Al-Atabi, Provost and CEO of Heriot- Watt University Malaysia.
The MoU is sets the path for Heriot-Watt to grow and develop in the area of Islamic Finance, actuarial science and international business. UiTM also intends to collaborate in the areas of joint research, staff and student mobility among others.
UiTM acknowledged Heriot-Watt's recent International University of the Year award by The Times and Sunday Times at the ceremony, and hopes to form strategic partnerships with Europe, Germany, France and Czech Republic through Heriot-Watt.
