“Creativity is intelligence having fun”
With 2018 being celebrated as the Year of Robotics at Heriot-Watt University Dubai Campus, school children all over the UAE have been asked to design a mascot to represent the celebration year.
The advancement in technology is on rise and educating the current generation about the same would help in further research and advancement in the future. Robots in education have not been in the picture until a few years ago. The importance of Robotics and Artificial Intelligence will not only educate the participating students but also spread the word and awareness on the subject that is not discussed at large.
The competition will run from the 12th of April 2018 and the last day to send in entries will be the 25th of June 2018. After this, all entries will be reviewed by a panel of judges and one winning design will be chosen. The winner will then receive their design in 3D print and will get to see it online, in print, and at events during the span of the year.
A large number of submissions are expected and the excitement can clearly be seen across our social media pages. We are looking forward to being impressed by the imagination and creativity that the current generation possesses.
