Heriot-Watt University comes top in Scotland for student facilities spend

Heriot-Watt is the top university in Scotland and third in the UK for the amount spent on student facilities by the Complete University Guide 2019.

The facilities spend ranking covers the university's spend per student on wellbeing facilities such as careers service, sports, health and counselling support.

The university is also ranked second in the UK for its Building course. It is also first in Scotland for Building and Town Country Planning and second in Scotland for Art & Design and Chemical Engineering.

The ten criteria the Complete University Guide table uses to assess a university's overall performance are: Student Satisfaction; Research Quality; Research Intensity; Entry Standards; Student: Staff Ratio; Spending on Academic Services; Spending on Student Facilities; Good Honours Degrees; Graduate Prospects; and Degree Completion.
