Heriot-Watt has been named in the world's top 60 universities by the Times Higher Education (THE) Golden Age Rankings for 2018.

The university was today ranked in an impressive 55th place out of 200 institutions from 44 countries.

The Golden Age University Rankings, now in its second year, measures universities established between 1945 and 1967 for their teaching, research, citations, international outlook and industry income.

Professor Richard A. Williams, University Principal and Vice-Chancellor, said: “This latest ranking underlines our reputation as one of the world's leading universities and stands as testament to all those whose hard work has contributed to this recognition.

“We are immensely proud of our international standing and remain committed to offering our students an exceptional experience, through first-class teaching, a rich mix of extra-curricular activities and opportunities to study at our campuses in Dubai and Malaysia.  This echoes our acclaim as the Times and Sunday Times “International University of the Year.”
