Heriot-Watt among world's top 150 universities in latest subject rankings

Heriot-Watt University has been ranked among the world's top universities in 11 subjects in the QS World University Ranking by Subject 2018.

The University is ranked in the world's top 150 for Chemical Engineering and Civil Engineering, with Electrical Engineering placed in the world's top 200.

The QS World University Rankings by Subject highlight the world's top universities in a range of popular subject areas. Published annually since 2011, the rankings are based on academic reputation, employer reputation and research impact.  This year, over 1,100 global universities were assessed.

In the new subject listings, Heriot-Watt University also saw improvements in Electrical Engineering (top 200), Mechanical Engineering (top 250) and Economics (top 350).

Heriot-Watt University was also named International University of the Year by the Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2018.
