The School of Sciences and Edinburgh Business School's Executive Education team are delighted to launch a new range of courses in Islamic and Ethical Finance. As interest in both these areas grow and businesses become increasingly aware of their ethical responsibilities, we have developed a partnership with the Ethical Finance Hub and the Islamic Finance Council UK (UKIFC).

This partnership is offering the first executive education courses at a Scottish university. Combining our expertise in Finance (No.1 in Scotland, in the The Guardian University Guide 2018) with international practitioners, the courses in Islamic Finance (3 Days) and Ethical Finance (2 Days) are designed to deliver both knowledge based content, practical insights and case studies from industry experts.

Delivered at Heriot Watt University, a first class learning environment set within 380 acres of beautiful countryside, 10 minutes from Edinburgh Airport and 15 minutes from Edinburgh City centre; where 13 per cent of all of Britain's banking jobs are based and nearly a quarter of the UKs life assurance employees are. These courses are designed for professionals, academics and students with limited or no knowledge of Ethical or Islamic Finance. They provide participants with an introduction to the subject areas, whilst also developing the understanding of those with some experience. The courses aim to build participants' knowledge, deliver business insights in these high growth sectors and provide valuable network engagement opportunities with fellow practitioners.
