A recent graduate from Heriot-Watt University has scooped a top accolade for his unique take on a drone.
Selby Cary’s idea for a new ground-based remote control vehicle which has the manoeuvrability of a drone and accessibility of a traditional radio control car won him the cash prize from the Scottish Institute for Enterprise.
The Vehicle called MANTIS is a unique take on the traditional drone idea and the initiative means he has made it to the next stage of the competition.
Fresh Ideas is a national competition. Every month from October to January students and recent graduates have the opportunity to enter their idea for an innovative product or service for the chance to win up to £1000.
