Students learn about life in the fast lane of Formula One

This week has been an exciting week on the Dubai Campus. Jock Clear Senior Performance Engineer working for Scuderia Ferrari (Sebastian Vettel and Kimi Raikkonen) came to talk to the Students about his fascinating career in Formula One.  

Before moving to Ferrari Dr Clear worked at Mercedes, where he was the race engineer for Lewis Hamilton and Michael Schumacher.

Clear graduated in 1987 with a degree in mechanical engineering from Heriot-Watt University and In November 2007, Clear was awarded an Honorary Doctorate of Engineering by Heriot-Watt University "in recognition of his outstanding success in applying engineering science in the most demanding and competitive environments and as a role model to young engineers."
