Principal addresses robotics industry experts at Annual Conference

The Principal of Heriot-Watt University addressed a gathering of robotics industry experts at The Centre for Robotics Annual Conference, today.

The conference was a partnership event with the University of Edinburgh which gave academia and industry professionals the chance to catch-up on the latest robotics research.

Professor Richard A. Williams spoke about the achievements of the facility based on the Edinburgh campus, including work in the Centre for Doctoral Training in Robotics and Autonomous Systems.

In the speech, the Principal noted the University's successful Year of Robotics programme, the cutting edge research taking place and how robots interact in different environments, with each other and with people.

Delegates were also treated to a a tour of the bespoke facility.
