Two prominent fashionistas visited Heriot-Watt’s flagship fashion and textile school, today.
Sheri Scott who writes Forever Yours Betty and Amanda Davies of Honey Pop kisses were given a tour of the state-of-the-art-facilities, which have been praised by the likes of Dame Vivienne Westwood.
The trend setters were shown the famous weave room and the newest technology in fashion design before getting involved in hands on workshops, including screen printing.
Finally, the influential bloggers met with staff and students and got to know more about current courses and projects.
Speaking about the visit, Sheri Scott said: “It was a great day out, seeing these world leading fashion facilities first-hand and meeting the fashion stars of the future.”
Amanda Davies added: “It was great to tour one of Scotland’s leading fashion design institutions and great to speak to students about their current projects.
“There’s clearly a lot off creatively going on within the school with talent bursting at the seams.”
Professor Fiona Waldron, Head of Textiles and Design school said: “It was lovely to welcome two iconic fashion bloggers to our school today and showcase our amazing work in design, fashion and textiles.
“The students also got excellent tips and advice from the visit and the chance to meet two leading opinion makers in the fashion world.”
