As an excellent example of Scotland's inclusivity and diversity, the university was proud to hold the event that showcased the richness of our community to the fullest. Hundreds of staff and students from all over the world came together to meet, talk and share stories, making it a truly memorable event.
Principal and Vice-Chancellor, Professor Richard A. Williams OBE said, “Today and ahead we are proud to shout out from our institutions why we are proud to welcome the world.
“We understand we succeed only because we share in the experience of our international students and staff's diversity, cultures and wisdom.
Scottish universities have always been cosmopolitan institutions, that is part of our attraction. Rightly understanding internationalism is the heartbeat of all world-class universities and institutions. It will continue to be so.
“Studying and working in Scotland is more than just coming to an overseas country, it's about coming to a country that is a global exemplar of excellence in its education.
“With some of the most highly-rated scientific institutions in the world, studying in Scotland gives students access to world-class facilities and multiple centres of excellence.
“We celebrate and welcome internationalism in our universities and colleges. Let us do all we can to shout out that Scotland Welcomes the World.”
