Heriot-Watt's Scottish summer graduations season gets underway with the University's Scottish Borders Campus ceremony in Galashiels.
The ceremony was held at the Old Parish and Saint Paul's Church in Galashiels, followed by a reception in the gardens of the nearby Old Gala House.
Patrick Grant, Director of Saville Row tailors Norton and Sons, and judge on the BBC Two programme ‘The Great British Sewing Bee', was the honorary graduate at the Galashiels ceremony, awarded a Doctorate of Letters in recognition of his contribution to fashion menswear design and business.
Around two thousand of the University's graduands will attend the ceremonies in Galashiels and at Edinburgh Campus ceremonies along with families and friends. We offer them all our congratulations on their achievements and hope that they thoroughly enjoy their day.
