Research the Headlines, a blog which addresses how research is discussed in the media and which involves Heriot-Watt academics, is currently in the running in the 2016 UK Blog Awards, often referred to as the 'Oscars of blogging'.
The blog is a collaboration among members of the Young Academy of Scotland, and contributors are drawn from universities across Scotland. It covers a wide range of topics, from social policy to volcanology, and Heriot-Watt is well-represented in the blog, with contributions from Dr Gavin Buckingham and Dr Alan Gow (both from the Department of Psychology, School of Life Sciences), Dr Guy Walker (EGIS) and Dr Helen Bridle (EPS). The blog is nominated in the Education category with daily voting options until 29 January.
