Dubai Campus hosts UAE Inter-School Business Challenge

The Dubai Campus has hosted the first UAE Inter-School Business Challenge of 2016, with 250 high school students from 30 different British, International Baccalaureate and American schools from across the UAE.

This is the first time we have used computer simulation software to conduct the challenge, as well as select the winners.

The 47 teams of students were guided through through the challenge by Dr Mohamed Salama, Acting Associate Head of School of Management and Languages at the Campus, and Dr Rodrigo Perez, Programme Director of International Marketing Manager with the Digital Marketing Programme.

The teams competed in the challenge through a computer simulation, which then helped to select the winners. Dr Salama said, “This is a particularly momentous version of the UAE Inter-School Business Challenge. This is the first time we have used computer simulation software to conduct the challenge, as well as select the winners.”

Dr. Rodrigo Perez added, “Not only have we conducted a January session of the UAE Inter-School Business Challenge, but we will host a second that will take place in April due to the huge demand to enter the competition from high school students.”

The winners of the first UAE Inter-School Business Challenge of 2016 were:

1st place winners: Team Ambrosio from Westminster School Dubai
2nd place winners: Team Chocaine from Dubai Scholars Private School
3rd place winners: Team Cash Cow from St Mary's Catholic School

Six other groups were given high recommendations:

Team Kandolion from Winchester School
Team Bitter Sweet Enterprise from Dubai Scholars Private School
Team The Choco Shak From St Mary's Catholic School
Team Choco Sabroso from AlNahda National School
