A team of four MSc Brewing and Distilling students has been working with Edinburgh Gin to develop a Seaside Gin due to be launched on World Gin Day, Saturday 13 June.
Following foraging on the Edinburgh Coastline and extensive trials at the International Centre for Brewing and Distilling, the team have created a gin that subtly blends botanicals such as scurvy grass and bladderwrack to create a delightful light flavour. The Seaside Gin will be available at the Scottish Juniper Festival (Summerhall Place, Edinburgh, Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 June) and at Edinburgh Gin. The ‘Spirited Botanists’ will also be available to answer questions at the Edinburgh Gin Distillery on launch day.
