Representatives of Scottish Development International (SDI) have visited the University’s Dubai Campus.

Paul Lewis, Managing Director of Scottish Development International and Scottish Enterprise International Operations, and Tom Marchbank, Regional Manager for the Middle East for Scottish Development International, toured the campus and met with Professor Ammar Kaka and the Associate Heads for the School of Energy, Geoscience, Infrastructure and Society and the School of Engineering and Physical Sciences.

They discussed options for future co-operation in the development of the campus, including the potential establishment of a student exchange program with Scotland, a Centre of Excellence and potential future engagement with Scottish industries.

Commenting on their visit, Paul Lewis said, “I am delighted with what I have seen of the Dubai Campus and am excited to have been able to meet with such exceptional faculty at a University that has a proud heritage of outstanding achievement in science, engineering, and business. We at SDI look forward to supporting the future success and continued growth of Heriot-Watt University Dubai Campus.”
