Moscow graduates, with, on right, Professor Gill Hogg

Heriot-Watt’s 2015 Moscow graduation has been held at the residence of the British Ambassador to the Russian Federation, attended by Professor Gill Hogg, Deputy Principal (External Relations).

Fifty five graduating students attended the ceremony, having studied for petroleum engineering degrees at the Institute of Petroleum, the School of Energy, Geoscience, Infrastructure and Society, with our partners Tomsk Polytechnic University and Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas.

Also in attendance were representatives of the British Council and a number of industry colleagues, many of whom are themselves Heriot-Watt alumni. The companies involved included: Gazprom E.P. International B.V.;  Rosneft-Krasnodarneftegaz; JSC Gazpromneft-Noyabrskneftegaz;  Schlumberger;  Gazpromneft NTC;  Scientific-Technological Center NIS-Naftagas (Gazprom Neft NIS) and Moscow Lebedev Institute.
