Heriot-Watt Energy Academy has hosted The Low Carbon Energy International Workshop to celebrate recent innovation and successful collaborations in low carbon energy technologies between UK, China and Hong-Kong.
The event was a great opportunity to discuss current and future collaborations in the field of low carbon energy.
The workshop. which attracted participants from different universities, societies and local companies, was supported by funds from the Scottish Funding Council under the Scotland-Hong Kong Strategic Research Partnership Program (H15009).
Latest innovations on electrochemical CO2 reduction, solar energy, fuel cell vehicles, UK-China collaboration on CCS and emission-to-liquid technologies were discussed by world leading scientists from China, Hong Kong and UK. .
Professor Mercedes Maroto-Valer, Director of the Energy Academy at Heriot-Watt and Chair of the workshop said, "The event was a great opportunity to discuss current and future collaborations in the field of low carbon energy. We are very pleased with the opportunities identified through fruitful discussions held during the workshop."
