Diversity NOW! was launched as part of the All Walks Beyond the Catwalk campaign, an initiative which supports and promotes diversity innovation within the fashion industry and challenges the industry’s dependence on idealised body image. The competition attracted entrants from 37 Universities within the UK and abroad. The brief focused on addressing racial, age, size and body diversity through imagery and text underpinned by enlightened critical thinking on the subject, to empower young women and men.

Annie was shortlisted in the Journalism category and Bayan in the Photography and Styling category.

Journalist and Broadcaster Caryn Franklin, a founder member of All Walks, briefed the students via Skype followed by a lively question and answer session.

Lecturer Dr Sue Thomas said, "Diversity isn't new, it just is! Students were challenged to reflect on their own experiences and came up with some super work"
