Heriot-Watt graduate and cyclist, 23-year-old Scott Laughland from Bridge of Allan, has joined the CUBE Action Team as a new member starting in the 2014 season.
Scott started riding and competing in Motorcycle Trials from the age of six, but after spectating at the 2002 Downhill World Cup in Fort William, he was a hooked on mountain bike racing. He changed his focus and one year later competed locally.
However, competitive racing was put on hold while he studied for his Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering at Heriot-Watt University, where he was a sports scholar.
Last season after having graduated from University, he competed all summer at events like the Enduro World Series or the Reschenpass race with his CUBE Stereo SHPC Race with significant progression and had his best season to date. One of Scott's career highlights is a 6th place at the Ischgl European Open.
