A record five first year Civil Engineering students have been awarded a QUEST scholarship by the Institute of Civil Engineers (ICE).
The Queen's Jubilee Scholarship Trust (QUEST) was set up in 1977 to support and encourage education in civil engineering. This prestigious scholarship provides financial support to civil engineering undergraduates and partnership with a leading civil engineering or construction company. The selection process is very competitive and includes a series of interviews with industry experts.
Students Jennifer Green, Scott Grattan, Charlotte Kerr, Catriona Salvini and Ross MacDonald are delighted to have been awarded the Scholarship. Ross will be working with Graham Construction, Charlotte with Mott MacDonald and Catriona, Jennifer and Scott will be working with Morgan Sindall. Prior to the Scholarship interview series the students were given some valuable advice from fellow students Adam Steele, Sam Buwert and Emma Mcgregor, who received the QUEST Scholarship in previous years.
The Scholarship winners will be completing work placements with the companies throughout their degrees and have the opportunity to go on to work for the companies when they graduate.
