On Thursday 6 November Professor Umit Bititci was presented with a gold "ilovektp" badge by Judy Brown of East of Scotland KTP Centre. The badge was awarded in recognition of Umit's significant contribution to the continued success and profile of the programme in the UK.
I am very proud to receive this award and to have, my own work, and the work being done by my colleagues across the university, recognised.
He now joins an exclusive list of recipients, being just the eighth person to receive the award. Previous winners of the badge have included Knowledge Transfer Partnerships (KTP) National forum chairs and secretaries.
Umit is no stranger to receiving accolades from the KTP centre, being the first recipient of the KTP Excellence Award in 2009, when he was with the University of Strathclyde.
Umit said, "I am very proud to receive this award and to have, my own work, and the work being done by my colleagues across the university, recognised."
The presentation was just one of 200 separate events being staged in cities throughout the UK by universities and colleges to mark National KTP Week.
