Heriot-Watt rises in '100 under 50' World University Ranking

Heriot-Watt has risen eleven places in the Times Higher's annual '100 under 50' World University Ranking, looking at universities which are under fifty years old.

We are delighted at this news and that we have improved on our position from last year. We will continue to work towards achieving our strategic aims in high quality research and internationalisation

The University is currently at 52nd, up from 63rd last year, and is first of three such institutions in Scotland, up from second place last year and third place two years ago. We are also in seventh place in the UK, up from tenth and fifteenth place respectively over the past two years.

Heriot-Watt is also ranked 7th in the world and 2nd in the UK in this listing for International Mix, a category which looks at diversity on campus and how much each university's academics collaborate with international colleagues on research projects
