Heriot-Watt moves up another league table

Heriot-Watt has moved up seven places in the newly published Complete University Guide 2015, to 33rd in the UK. The University remains fourth in Scotland.

The online table shows a range of Heriot-Watt improvements, including:

  • Entry Standards (up to 422 [27th] from 390 [38th])
  • Graduate Prospects (up to 77.7 [15th] from 73.7 [26th])
  • Student Staff Ratio (improved to 16.4 (47th) from 18.3 [58th])
  • Facilities Spend (up to 572 [27th] from 418 [46th])

Heriot-Watt is ranked in the UK top 10 for three  subjects

  • Building (4th)
  • Town & Country Planning (5th)
  • Art & Design (9th)

Top quartile in the UK for 10 subjects

The University is also ranked in the top quartile in the UK for 10 subjects (compared to five last year):

  • Accounting & Finance
  • Art & Design
  • Building
  • Business & Management Studies
  • Chemistry
  • Civil Engineering
  • Iberian Languages
  • Mathematics
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Town & Country Planning.
  • Physics & Astronomy has moved from the 3rd quartile up into the 2nd quartile
