Three third year students from the School of the Built Environment, Clara Kempken (CPM), Sophie Brown (QS), and Malgorzata Nieszporek (UPPD), have taken part in a regional property industry competition, the Association of Women in Property (WiP) National Student Awards.
Based on their academic success, they were nominated by Heriot-Watt University to present their work in front of a judging panel consisting of the WIP chairman, leading built environment employers in Scotland, professional body representatives and sponsors.
The students were competing with five students from other Scottish universities for a place in the National Final. The judging panel commented on the very high standard of all entries and the competition culminated in a prize giving event on Thursday 9 May at the Royal Institute of Architects Scotland building in Rutland Square, Edinburgh.
Unfortunately, on this occasion, our three students did not succeed in being selected for the UK final, but nevertheless, they can be very proud of representing the School in the Scottish final.
