Strategic Plan launches at the House of Commons

The Principal hosted a reception at the House of Commons on Wednesday 1 May to celebrate the launch the University's Strategic Plan (2013-18). The reception, which was kindly sponsored by The Rt Hon Alistair Darling MP, the University's local MP saw a keynote speech from the Rt Hon David Willetts MP, Minister for Universities and Science to the audience that included MPs, business and industry leaders, alumni and Consuls.

Strategic Plan 2013-2018

The Strategic Plan focuses on our commitment to research and expanding our international reach. The plan sets out our vision to be world-leading across many key areas such as science, engineering, technology and business.

The event was also an opportunity to celebrate the success of the University over the last 12 months as well as engage with key stakeholders and give them an overview of the University's strategic aims and objectives over the next five years.

Our mission is to create and exchange knowledge for the benefit of society, thinking about the bigger picture and not just what benefits the university.
