Heriot-Watt's Professor Raffaella Ocone was invited to deliver a keynote speech at the second European Network for the Accreditation of Engineering Education (ENAEE) Conference which took place in the Leuven, Belgium, in September 2013. Professor Ocone's speech was entitled 'Ethical Reasoning in the Engineering Curriculum'.
The event was held in conjunction with the SEFI Conference to mark the fortieth anniversary of the establishment of SEFI (the European Society for Engineering Education). SEFI is an international non-profit organisation established in 1973 by 21 European Universities
ENAEE has been established now for seven years and has so far authorised ten accreditation agencies to award the EUR-ACE® quality label to their accredited engineering programmes.
