Fiona Waldron has been appointed as Head of the School of Textiles and Design at Heriot-Watt University.
Fiona undertook her studies in clothing production engineering and started her career in the clothing industry as a product developer, engineering products for commercial manufacture. Fiona has been lecturing at the School since 1986 and is currently both the Director of Resources at the School of Textiles and Design, and a Dean of the University, providing cross University support. Fiona will continue with her duties as Dean until the election of a new Dean in September 2013.
Fiona said, "I am delighted to take up the post of Head of School and I look forward to working with colleagues to develop our potential over the coming years."
