New Head of the School of Management and Languages

Professor Robert MacIntosh has been appointed as Head of the School of Management and Languages at Heriot-Watt University.

Professor MacIntosh recently joined Heriot-Watt as Professor of Strategic Management. He came from Glasgow University where he held the Chair of Strategic Management at the University of Glasgow's Adam Smith Business School, and prior to that was at Strathclyde University, where he ran the MBA Programme.

Professor MacIntosh undertook his undergraduate and postgraduate studies in manufacturing engineering at Strathclyde University. He has recently been appointed to the board of Turning Point Scotland, a charity working to support adults with complex needs.

Professor Macintosh said, "I am delighted to offer my support to the School of Management and Languages as it continues to develop, building on the success of my predecessor Professor Gill Hogg."
