Professor Ian Mason, Professor Emeritus, Heriot-Watt University, was awarded a Doctorate of Letters in recognition of his pre-eminent, pioneering and influential contribution to studies in the fields of translating and interpreting, and for his contributions to the advancement of teaching and scholarship at Heriot-Watt University.
Mariot Leslie, British Ambassador based in Brussels as the UK's Permanent Representative to NATO, was awarded a Doctorate of the University in recognition of her outstanding contribution to the British Diplomatic Service over the course of a long and distinguished career.
Robin Angus, Executive Director of Personal Assets Trust Plc, was awarded a Doctorate of Letters in recognition of his pre-eminence in the field of investment trusts and his exceptional contribution to the advancement of education in finance and investment.
