Heriot-Watt students work on Kim Winser's new brand

Heriot-Watt University Honorary graduate and fashion business leader Kim Winser OBE launches her new brand, Winser London later this month.

Called €˜winserlondon.com', the new business is an online luxury womenswear label. Further pop-up stores will appear in the spring - including in Scotland - though the location is still a closely-guarded secret.

Winser has worked with knitwear, textile and design students at Heriot-Watt University's School of Textiles and Design and their work will feature in the winserlondon.com collection later this year.

Previously credited with re-inventing Pringle and transforming it into a global brand, the new label uses Scottish cashmere and merino knitwear from two mills in the Borders.

Speaking about her new collection, Kim Winser said:

"My collection is for women who are looking for great pieces that work for more than just a season. The designs have a great simplicity, with a strong focus on cut, fit and the quality of the fabrics and yarns.

The debut collection is modelled by Yasmin Le Bon.
