Heriot-Watt will attend today the Industrial Biotechnology Study Tour of Norway. The event is organised by Biosciences KTN and Innovation Norway to enhance collaboration between Norway and the UK in the area of industrial biotechnology and bio-refining.
The study tour follows the signing in 2011 of an agreement between the UK and Norway that encourages joint UK-Norwegian support for development of industrial biotechnology sector.
Other five UK organisations joining the tour include the Centre for Process Innovation, Ingenza, Biocatalysts Ltd, Aberystwyth University, and the University of Edinburgh. UK delegates will have opportunities to be shown round the facilities and participate in pre-scheduled meetings until Thursday 25 April.
