Fashion tycoon shares tricks of his trade in Edinburgh visit

George Davis, fashion entrepreneur, delivered a masterclass to postgraduate students on the MSc International Fashion Marketing programme at Heriot-Watt University on Thursday 14 November.

While he was in Edinburgh, he popped in to visit Adele Crombie, a graduate of the MSc in International Fashion Marketing, who has recently opened her own boutique in Thistle Street.

The shop - called ALC - specialises in women's denim and claims that it is possible to find the €˜perfect pair of jeans'.

George discussed Adele's growing business with her and shared his insights, based on a long and hugely successful career in the fashion industry.

George Davis previously ran George at Asda and the M&S Per Una label. He was made an Honorary Graduate of Heriot-Watt University in 2003 and has endowed the George Davis Centre for Retail Excellence.
