The 3rd European Association of Geoscientists & Engineers (EAGE) online student chapter Geo-Quiz competition was held in March 2013.
The Heriot-Watt Student Chapter participated and won first place, the winning team comprised of Institute of Petroleum Engineering PhD students Dennis Obidegwu, Ricardo Rangel and Zhen Yin.
The winners were awarded a travel grant to attend the 75th EAGE Conference & Exhibition incorporating SPE EUROPEC 2013 to be held in London, United Kingdom, 10-13 June 2013.
This conference is the largest and most comprehensive geoscience event in the world. The six-day programme consists of a large conference and a technical exhibition presenting the latest developments in geophysics, geology and reservoir/petroleum engineering.
