Heriot-Watt student, Ewan Dyer came second in the 400m hurdles competition at the Scottish Senior Athletics Championships.
The event was held in Glasgow on the 11 and 12 August. Ewan achieved his position in 53.36 seconds.
Ewan said, "This is my highest position at a Senior Championships so I was very pleased. Also, it was the closest an athlete has pushed the winner (David Martin) at these championships in the past four years."
He will compete on August 18 at the U20 Championships in Aberdeen.
Ewan is a Heriot-Watt sports scholar, and a first year Accountancy and Finance student.
