Dr Jock ClearOn his first visit to Heriot-Watt Dubai and the engineering labs of the purpose-built campus, Dr. Clear said, "I am very pleased to be able to see the Dubai Campus for myself having read so much about it over the last couple of years. There is a real buzz back in Edinburgh about what is going on here, and the first thing I noticed when I arrived was that there is a real buzz here too. The campus is vibrant and energetic, and the students I met were great to talk to. The keen feedback from many of them suggests that they have the same passion for engineering that I had back in Edinburgh, and which I still have today. I thank the campus and particularly Professor Kaka, Kathryn Taylor and all the students for making me feel so welcome."
Head of Dubai Campus, Professor Ammar Kaka, said, "It has been a pleasure to welcome Dr. Jock Clear to the campus in the run up to the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. As well as complimenting the students' technical knowledge, Jock Clear has also inspired our students to consider career options in the field of Mechanical Engineering."
