About Converge Challenge
Converge Challenge aims to support the next generation of Scottish research entrepreneurs in business and technology and offers the first prize winner a business start up package worth over £10,000 to help make their business idea a reality.
The Competition organisers have brought together a team of experts to support the Converge Challenge 2011 winners to develop their business ideas through training and advice. The combination of these exceptional expert offerings will create an exciting entrepreneurial experience for each of the three winners that includes mentorship in legal matters, finance and business development.
Eligibility
Co-ordinated by Heriot-Watt University, the Converge Challenge is open to early stage researchers (PhD students, Postdoctoral Fellows, academic research staff) and more junior researchers (MSc, MRes and final year BSc students with research experience).
All applicants must be research students and staff from Heriot-Watt, or Scottish Research Pools of which Heriot-Watt is a member (ERPem, ScotCHEM, SISCA, SIPR, SIRE, MASTS and SUPA).
